Richmond-based E. Claiborne Robins Co. Inc. lawsuit against Teva Pharmaceutical seeks $110 million

  • Former specialty drug company E. Claiborne Robins has filed a $110-million lawsuit suit against Teva in a dispute over a 2007 asset purchasing agreement, reported Richmond.com.

  • The lawsuit accuses Teva of failing to live up to "commercially reasonable efforts" to market a patented muscle relaxer called Amrix developed by Robins and sold in 2007 to Cephalon, which Teva went on to acquire in 2011.

  • The suit alleges that under an agreement formula, Teva must pay Robins $97.5 million, and with interest added, the amount rises to at least $110 million.
