Appearance:

White to off-white powder or granule.

Almost insoluble in water, slightly soluble in methanol, insoluble in acetone and anhydrous ethanol.

Application: 

As lubricants for tablets and capsules with a concentration of 0.5 ~ 2.0% (w/w).

It can form a protective coat film in effervescent tablets.

As this product has less than one fatty chain and more than one hydrophilic group compared with magnesium stearate, so it can solve the slow dissolution of magnesium stearate as lubricant.

Suitable for lubricants of razole drugs, which are easy to react with magnesium stearate and cannot use magnesium stearate as lubricant.
