This product is a flavonolignan compound extracted from the seed coat of silybum marinaum (L) Gaenrt. It is yellow powder with bitter taste. Its main active ingredients are four isomers including silybin, isosilybin, silychristin and silydianin. Among them, silybin content is 50% to 70%. It is odorless white crystallized powder, with slightly bitter taste and good hygroscopicity. It is freely soluble in acetone, ethyl acetate, mathyl alcohol and alcohol, is sparingly soluble in chloroform, and is almost insoluble in water. The methyl hydrate has been widely used for pharmaceutical product, health care product, food, cosmetics, etc..

Properties: mp.180℃; anhydrate, mp.158℃ (decomposed at 180℃)
