Cytochrome C is a respiratory enzyme based on ferriporphyrin prosthetic grounp,cell breath activator andprotein complex.It is composed of polypeptide and hemochrome complex.It is important electron transporter during physiological process of oxidation-reduction reaction.

The action mechanism is that under anoxia condition cell membrane permeabilityincreased,exogenous cytochrome C get into cell mitochondria and adduction was improved,oxygen utilization improved and thus reliefing hyppxia.The CytochromeC was used as tissue hypoxia first aid and its adjuvant drug,for example carbon monoxide poisoning,asphyxianeonatorum,severe shock and znoxia,mountain hypoxia and cerebral anoxia ect.

Cytochrome C is adark red color crystalline or amorphous powder,freely solublein water and insoluble in organic solvents.
